Apologies [15 Nov 2003|08:59pm]
[ mood | energetic ]

Oh dear! Oh my! I seem to have completely forgotten about this thing! I feel just terrible! Terrible! I must simply do my best to update more frequently. It's simply awful that I haven't.

Classes are going quite well. The hubbub seems to have died down. Most people are settling splendidly into their new houses. Though by now one would hope so.

I do so hope that Professor McGonagall is enjoying her vacation. I must say that it was quite unexpected. I can't remember a time that she's ever taken a vacation. I might be wrong though! She could very well have! My memory simply isn't as good as it used to be.

The days are starting to get cooler. I do believe it is time for me to pull out my mittens and scarves! And my little bobble topped head warmers! Oh yes! I do so love the colder seasons!

Not to mention the hot chocolate! Who doesn't love hot chocolate? I think I shall teach my younger students the charm to keep their drinks hot. And my older years... I'll teach them how to charm their hot chocolate to have different flavours like mint or cinnamon.

Oh my! It shall be splendid fun!

*claps excitedly* [23 Oct 2003|07:58pm]
[ mood | excited ]

A Halloween Ball! How exciting! I can't wait to see everyone's costumes! It should be so much fun! I hope that a lot of people attend. I know I shall be.

I'm thinking of going as one of Tolkein's dwarfs. I'm sure I can pull it off rather well with my diminutive size. What do you think? Oh! Or I could be a Goblin! The possibilities! I'll have to think this over...

And of course, I must go out and get candy! I'm going to start passing some out to the students and faculty. Won't that just be grand? I'll get a wide variety of many different things.

I just can't wait!

Oh dear! [21 Oct 2003|02:00pm]
[ mood | optimistic ]

It seems that Minerva is doing a smashing job in running Ravenclaw. And I keep noticing that adding and subtracting of points all around. It is rather amusing.

I must say that I do believe I am enjoying this project more than the last. And that is quite the feat, let me tell you! Oh my! It is most excellent!

And although Miss Chang did not get to move Houses, I am very happy that she is still in Ravenclaw. She is doing a very good job in helping the students settle in. And I was very, very pleased when I noticed that Severus had awarded her points.

Oh dear... I just noticed! It's Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape to you students! Don't forget! I must really watch my slip ups... *grins jovially* Well, I'm off! There is much to be done! Much to be done!

Ravenclaw House [17 Oct 2003|05:54pm]
[ mood | curious ]

So it seems that I shall be losing my beloved House come this Saturday. I must say that I am sad to see it go, but I'm sure Professor McGonagall will run it very well. She always kept a nice tight ship.

I am interested to see how things go. It should be very amusing to watch them deal with everyone. I mean... Everything will be different now, of course. For the fifth through seventh years it won't seem like any of those Houses. But for the younger years, well, it should be interesting.

Well, I must be off. Plenty to do.

Happy [12 Oct 2003|05:33pm]
[ mood | pleased ]

I am so pleased to note that so many people are continuing to update these journals. I had thought that many people would abandon, and those that stayed would bicker and fight amongst themselves.

And I am so proud of Miss Chang, Mr. Potter, Mr. Zabini and anyone else that chose to forgo House tables about a week ago.

I am just sorry that I didn't get to saying so sooner. Classes just seem to be more and more hectic each passing day.

Alas, I must be off. I do look forward to more entries, but my order of specialty candies is in at Honeydukes. I just must go and get them.

Cheerio!

Grades [02 Oct 2003|12:36pm]
[ mood | disappointed ]

Oh dear... I am most disappointed in those that failed this project. But I am severely disappointed in those that were from my very own House. I thought that they knew better than that.

Well... The anonymity is over, and everyone knows who everyone else is. Time to see how that affects everyone.

Upsetting [22 Sep 2003|05:14pm]
[ mood | sad ]

I am most upset! I had to give out my first detention of the year, and it was to a student of my own house! *sniffles* I need some chocolate... *meanders away to find some*

Oh dear! [19 Sep 2003|11:53am]
[ mood | disappointed ]

I've been rather busy and have not had time to check on recent ongoing events in the assignment. Now I have, and I am most disappointed in some of my Ravenclaws. What were the sixth years thinking? Honestly, swearing where everyone could hear them. Not a very good influence on the younger years.

And although I am most displeased that Miss Lovegood was arguing, I am pleased that she did not involve herself in the hex war. I must remember to give her some sympathy chocolates since she still landed in the Infirmary. I'm so absent minded sometimes.... I meant to do that while she was still there.

Classes are going all right. I've still got the occassional day dreamer. Or the person that seems to be looking around to see if they can discover who is involved in this project just by looking.

I think that this weekend I shall kip down to Hogsmeade and buy myself some candies. I think I would like some Fizzing Whizbees and some chocolate. Yes, sounds lovely to me.

I do hope you dears try to remain out of trouble. Have a lovely day.

Hehe... [12 Sep 2003|11:52am]
[ mood | amused ]

hogwarts23 has brought up an interesting idea. I think that the idea of composing a Quidditch team that is made up with players from all the Houses is a splendid idea. Even a better idea than the Triwizard Tournament was. It’s not nearly as dangerous, and you can still get the other magical schools together. I wonder how Dumbly will approach the subject?

My, it’s nice to see that everyone is making friends. I was worried that people were just going to be angry with one another. But everyone seems to be doing pretty well. You still have the occasional person that gets upset by someone, but other than that, most are getting along smashingly. Glorious really.

I am still very pleased with how Charms classes are going. Everyone seems to be grasping what I’m teaching. Although I have to wonder about Mr. Thomas' choice of reading material. I had pondered on giving him a detention, but I did not think that the transgression was bad enough to warrant such an extreme measure. I do hope that he thinks twice though before doing that again in my class.

On a lighter note, I hope his order goes through and that he gets what he wants.

Well, off to lunch.

More Detentions [10 Sep 2003|11:59am]
[ mood | disappointed ]

Oh my… I saw that Mr. Zabini was caught drinking alcohol. I had heard about young Mr. Zacharias Smith. I wonder what drove them to do something like that? Is something upsetting going on in their lives? Or were they just out for a thrill? Oh dear… I do hope that something like that doesn’t happen again. Alcohol isn’t good for you.

Classes are going well, and I find myself highly intrigued by this rumor going around about Harry Potter and Luna Lovegood dating. I wonder if there is any truth to that…

And I was most disappointed when Miss Chang was given a detention. I have no idea what she was thinking practicing Quidditch after hours. Studies are much more important.

*sigh* It just seems as though everyone is getting detentions. That isn’t a good thing. It means that we, as teachers, will have our hands full. It’s not as if we can ask Mr. Filch to oversee so many detentions. No, no. That would be downright cruel. There are simply too many. I am debating on overseeing all the detentions of my House to give him a small reprieve at least.

Well, I must get to lunch. I thought a quick jot would be good as I didn’t get around to doing so the other day. Do try to stay out of trouble. Cheerio!

Hullo hogwarts26! [08 Sep 2003|12:26pm]
[ mood | rushed ]

Oh my! Oh my! A hearty welcome to hogwarts26! It’s always nice to have a new face in an ongoing project.

And I am sad to hear of all the detentions that seem to be being handed out. I hope that I don’t have to.

I don’t have time to write much, just really stopped to say hi to our new player. *grin* Hopefully I’ll get to say more later. Bye.

Socks, Teas, Candies, and other Various Things [04 Sep 2003|09:36am]
[ mood | nostalgic ]

Oh my! Everyone seems to be doing so splendidly in Charms! It’s just so refreshing to watch all you young people actually understand what we are doing! If this is any indication as to how the year goes, then mine shall be splendid indeed. I can’t wait until we get to do some more difficult charms with the older students.

I sometimes wish that Fred and George Weasley were back. Yes, I understand that they were trouble makers. But darn if they weren’t great at making up new charms! (Excuse my language.) I certainly enjoyed all their inventive charms that they displayed for us all over the years.

I’ve also been enjoying reading what everyone has to say, although a few people seem to be getting greatly annoyed with one another, or how and what certain people post. This isn’t so great. We all want to remain on friendly terms. And these are, after all, journals. You can really put in them what you like.

I read about Miss Lovegood and Miss Granger’s little tiff over house elf rights. And while I am pleased that Miss Grangers has something she can be passionate about, I’m a little worried at the same time. I understand her beliefs for house elves, but some are happy. The ones at Hogwarts would most likely feel as though they were unwanted and not useful if they were to be set free or paid or given time off. They wouldn’t take it well. You really can’t judge all house elves by a select few.

Visiting the kitchens late at night is always a pleasure. I had the strangest urge to have some lavender mint tea last night. I’ve never had tea like that before. For that matter, I don’t even know if it truly exists, but those little elves got it for me. It was very pleasing. Of course, Dobby was a huge help, and I really must remember to bring him two nice pairs of socks as a thank you.

Oh dear, I should get Dumbly some socks as well. He loves socks. Maybe I’ll get him some nice, thick wool socks. You know, as a general thanks gift. He is just always there when I need him with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes and a tin of lemon drops.

I never have gotten to liking lemon drops all that much. Which is odd considering that I like lemon juice to be squeezed into certain teas that I drink. Oh well.

I’m much prefer Fizzing Whizbees! Well, that’s all. Off to teach lessons now.

[02 Sep 2003|01:13pm]
[ mood | productive ]

*chuckles* Well, I must admit that that was a very inventive question from hogwarts04. I am curious as to how and whether people will answer the question. She seems like a nice enough girl, but I wonder how many people are comfortable posting their sexual orientation where a lot of other people can view it. Even if it is anonymous. I mean, everyone will know eventually who is all participating. It took a lot of guts for hogwarts21 to say what they did. I commend that.

It is rather interesting to watch all the students interact with one another. Some are their normal selves, snipping at everyone or generally picking fights. Although there are a few that seemed more subdued than normal. I worry about them. I wonder if they are all right.

Well, the move to call the Headmaster Dumbly is going on very well. I think that it is being embraced by everyone. Even the students who aren’t participating in this seem to have picked it up. I wonder how they found out?

Well, I have to get ready for my next class. I look forward to seeing all of you.

[01 Sep 2003|04:44pm]
[ mood | chipper ]

I had a lovely day! I am so thrilled that school has started again. I always enjoy teaching and meeting new students. Not to mention seeing old faces. It’s such a relief to see all my Ravenclaws back for another year.

I saw Miss Lovegood today. And although I didn’t get a chance to talk to her, I am very pleased with her grades right now. She has some of the highest grades for her class. The same goes for Miss Chang for her class. They both make me very proud.

Oh, what am I saying? Everyone here makes me so proud. I’m just so pleased with all of their progress. Mr. Crabbe and Mr. Goyle have been progressing nicely. And Mr. Finnigan has come up with some interesting charms, and he hasn’t blown anything else up in a while. That’s always a plus.

Did everyone enjoy their first day back, or would you all still prefer to be doing your own thing?

Journals [30 Aug 2003|06:38pm]
[ mood | enthralled ]

Oh my! I’ve been reading what some people post in their journals, and I think this shall be tons of fun! We seem to have some rather nice people participating! And we all get to learn how to use a muggle computer! It’s all just so very fascinating.

I must say, it has been interesting watching the students coming back. Some seem happy. Some don’t. Others look nervous. Why, I’ve already saw Hermione Granger with a book in her hands. She’s a rather bright one. Pity she isn’t in Ravenclaw. She could have done well.

I had to chuckle at the Headmaster’s questions. Those were just spiffy. I love the color blue! Most definitely! Any shade! It is just so nice. It reminds me of a nice, clear summer day.

Ah…it’s just so refreshing to read this journals. I can’t wait to see what other people put.
